I have known Ryan for most of my life, he is such a good person and makes me laugh constantly. So I was very happy to learn that he was indeed marrying Pam, they just seemed to be very happy together. Their wedding reception took place in Narragansett on a hot but beautifully lit day that gave us some great color in the sky and just enough clouds for the polarizer to exaggerate. I laughed when no sooner had I mentioned the idea of shooting in the middle of the street than Ryan was already out there blocking traffic. We got yelled at and people were mad, but hey they were just going to the beach anyway, what difference would a minute or two make. As I edited the pictures I found it was severely difficult to narrow down the dancing shots during the reception to a reasonable amount. The cast of characters provided for so many moments and great facial expressions I didn't want to leave any out.

The Sullivan House is an amazing location to get married on Block Island and Terin and Kyle could not have picked a better day for such a location. I am so fortunate to have the friends that I have on Block Island to allow me to work at such elaborate and beautiful events such as these. I find it so very flattering to have a bridal party at a wedding that your shooting consist of two former clients. This group of Block Island residents that I have come to know over the years are incredibly close to each other and every time I get the privilege to work with any of them I am sure it is going to be a fun and visually rewarding day. Thanks again Kyle and Terin.

While shooting Still photography for Ryan and Pam I decided to switch to the video option on my 7D and see what it could pick up in the little to no light of the reception. Im glad I did because the mood was so fun that still images alone were not capturing the moment and the low light abilities of the camera really shone through.

Melissa and Tom are old friends and I was happy they asked me to shoot their wedding. They got married at the Atlantic Beach Club on First Beach in Newport. The day was not providing ideal weather as the rain only stopped moments before the ceremony began. In the end however, the grey clouds made for much nicer even lighting conditions than full overhead sun would ever have. Working with people you know and are comfortable with makes everything easier and more entertaining and I think the pictures just become more natural because you are not coaxing energy out of people. This comes through in the pictures showing warmth and sincere happiness.
Thanks guys, I had a lotta fun.
