Cristin and David

This would have been my first wedding ever as a guest but fate delayed that luxury as I was hired by Crisitn and David to photograph the day instead. This was of course totally fine with me as I probably would have been shooting for fun anyhow. I am actually in some of these photos as I am dating the brides sister and their brother was kind enough to take over for a few shots.
Cristin and David were married on the 4th of September. The day was beautiful even if there were gusts of 25 mph wind causing havoc with everyones hair. Shooting down near Waterplace park led to the discovery of some great reflected light off of one of the near by high rises. That is if you can call buildings in Rhode Island "high rises". But the glass of its windows created some amazing soft light for the group shots and formals. I'll definitely use it again in the future. The reception was at the Waterman Grill, which makes for a very beautiful location for a smaller wedding reception. The out door patio and the dining room surrounded by windows looking out on the river make it quite the backdrop.
The best mans speech was awesome, the groom is from England and his best man flew over the pond for the wedding and somehow managed to include a reference to the Large Haydron Collider in his best speech. I was impressed. Only an Englishman could pull that one off.
Above are some of my favorites from the day.
